Wiz (previously known as Wisdom) is a Jamaican-born, Stamford, CT-bred lyricist and producer who first made his mark during hip hop's historic golden era. In 1996, Wiz released his critically acclaimed debut 12 Inch record, "It's Rare." Anchored by standout cuts like "Angel" and "All Star Jam" (featuring Adagio and Breeze Brewin of the legendary Juggaknots), the record set him apart as a poignant and elite lyricist with a cinematic storytelling style.

Starting with his new single, "Code 203", which honors his roots from Jamaica to Stamford and the influence of spending significant parts of his upbringing in Long Island, Wiz is bypassing the industry to build a direct, unfiltered connection with his community.
